It's a pretty shoe but misleading. Woven leather upper makes you think it will give and stretch, but solid liner in toe box prohibits any easing at all.

These have been my "goto" shoes for over a dozen summers. They work with skirts or slacks and are cool and comfortable. On this last pair, one strand of weaving pulled out of the top binding the first time I wore them. I glued it, and so far it's holding. This has happened only once before in all the years I've been wearing them.

First time wearing the shoe and the in-step of my feet felt bruised afterward. The vamp of the shoe does not have any flexibility to it, therefore it is extremely uncomfortable to wear for any length of time. Maybe with lots of manipulating the leather by hand to soften it will make a difference and I can wear them a second time.

This shoe is casual and comfortable, but also looks stylish. I have it in several colors and have the black and the champagne in several
"stages of wear". That is the only thing I can criticize: they don't wear as well as I'd like. A similar shoe, made by Trotters, wears better but is sized slightly too narrow for my feet. Otherwise, this is a great shoe!
